A Comfortable Bed: The Base
Although they may eat just about anything, BSFL do best in a specific kind of habitat. Put your food scraps and other organic garbage in the container. Your black soldier fly larvae will be fed a diet of leftover fruit and vegetable peels. You can make a compost pile out of the trash, which will keep it out of landfills and feed your larvae at the same time.
Humidity and Temperature: Achieving Optimal Climate Conditions
Embrace the warmth, black soldier flies. Aim for a temperature between 27 and 80 degrees Celsius. When the weather becomes too cold, they start acting like characters from an arctic documentary. Like the ideal sponge cake calls for, the surroundings should be damp but not drenched.
Embrace the Pests
Making a suitable entrance for adult black soldier flies is the next stage. In order to entice adult black soldier flies, the environment should be inviting. When these pollinators lay their eggs, it speeds up the process and gets the ball rolling. You will soon be able to observe the movement of little larvae as they swim through the tank.
Support and Nutrition
Keep feeding the larvae leftover food from your kitchen. Because of their stringent regulations, meat and dairy items are off-limits. As these insects consume the trash, it is transformed into larvae that are rich in protein. From our vantage point, it seems like Mother Nature is making these incredible recycling machines.
Time for Harvest
Is it time to harvest? The arrival of the larvae’s dark coloring marks the beginning of harvest season. The larvae can be located by an activity similar to treasure hunting. After cleaning, let your BSFL larvae dry till they are ready to feed to your pets. The supplements contain only necessary natural substances, so your pets get nutrition without any fillers.
